ARC-103 Range of Products

Product Codes covered: ARC-1031, 1032,1033,1035,1039
Your most reliable companions for de-scaling of a wide range of process equipment such as
Boilers, Condensers, Heat Exchangers etc

A DESCALANT FOR COMPLETE DESCALING PROCESS SHOULD INCLUDE.

  • A chemical keeping in mind the metallurgy of equipment.
  • An inhibitor keeping in mind the operating temperature and metal.
  • An anti-silica compound for the removal of troublesome silicate scale.
  • A chemical to remove trouble some calcium phosphate scale.
  • A surfactant to remove oil & grease, which interferes with effective cleaning.
  • Scale softening prior to de-scaling & neutralizing after de-scaling.

HOW TO CHEMICALLY CLEAN YOUR HEAT EXCHANGERS

Scales, deposits and sludge of various forms can form in the heat exchangers. Few of then may present serious problems to the equipment - like scaling of cooling tower tubes. Accumulated deposits could be due to any reason i.e. scaling, corrosion or suspended matters. There are various methods of chemical cleaning is the most widely used process adopted for De-scaling and removal of deposits.

What constitutes a Descaling Operation

Scale Softening - Prior to descaling - An Alkaline treatment - ensures that hard rock like deposits softens and total removal of oil contents in your boiler / heat exchanger .
Descaling - An acidic treatment - Then quickly penetrate, disintegrate and dissolve the scale deposits. It must be incorporated with efficient corrosion inhibitors to ensure total protection of metal of your costly equipments.
Neutralizing - An alkaline treatment- Must be used to dissolve left over scale spots and neutralizing of acid traces.
Passivators - is must to prevent chances of underneath corrosion etc.
Trained and experienced company rather than local operators should perform these operations, unless they are fully trained to employ proper technique and to take pre- caution against Industrial hazards.

Our Products

ARC-1031
ARC-1031 is a powerful scale, calcium, and lime and rust remover suitable for use on most materials.
ARC-1031 does not present the same health and safety concerns associated with most other mineral acid base products.
ARC-1031 is effective as it will clean and remove calcium and water hardness deposits, or rust & scale off steel within seconds and at room temperature! Equivalent active 5% solutions of ARC-1031 will consume approximately twice the amount of calcium than phosphoric acid based products and about Four times more than conventional products available in the market.
ARC-1031 is versatile as it can be used in just about any cleaning application where acid base products are used.
ARC-1031 is stable for up to one year or longer when stored as recommended.

ARC-1032
ARC-1032 is an effectively inhibited cleaner, which is formulated to remove deposits in all types of non-potable water systems. ARC-1032 easily removes deposits of calcium carbonate, calcium phosphate, and/or iron oxides without attacking the underlying metal surfaces. The chemical used in ARC-1032 converts these deposits into water-soluble salts; iron oxide removal is hastened by the ability of the ARC-1032 to form a stable soluble complex with the iron in the deposits. The organic inhibitor system used in ARC-1032electrolytically protects metal surfaces from attack by the de-scaling chemical.

ARC-1033
ARC-1033 is an effectively inhibited blend with corrosion inhibitors and wetting agents designed for cleaning typical heat transfer surfaces in cooling towers and boiler. ARC-1033 easily removes deposits of calcium carbonate, calcium phosphate, and/or iron oxides without attacking the underlying metal surfaces. ARC-1033 converts these deposits into water-soluble salts; iron oxide removal is hastened by the ability of the ARC-1033 to form a stable soluble complex with the iron in the deposits.

ARC-1035
When the cleaning is complete, the chemical is forced out through the lower drain nose. Then heat exchanger is filled with hot de-areated water, drained filled and drained again in each instance under a nitrogen blanket to prevent flash rusting. It is essential to keep the inside of the heat exchanger as free from air as possible to avoid extensive oxygen pitting. Finally an ARC-1035, neutralizing / passivating solution is pumped in the heat exchanger and allowed to soak for one hour.
This treatment neutralizes residual acidity and provides a passive surface on the cleaned metal that resists rusting when the Heat Exchanger is opened for inspection and repairs.

ARC-1039

SOFTENING: - The purpose of softening prior to de-scaling is to soften the hard deposits, neutralize oil contents if any. Softening compound is pumped in to the Heat Exchanger and diluted with make up water. The final concentration depends upon quantum of scale and its nature; normally 6000 - 15000 ppm of ARC-1039 is required. The pressure is raised and solution is circulated from, 4 - 24 hrs., during which time the concentration of softening agent is checked from time to time. More chemicals are added if concentration falls below 6000ppm level. After dumping the alkaline solution and rising once or twice with deareated fresh water the Heat exchanger is ready for descaling.
